Today we explored what happens when you mix a solid and a liquid. We focused on two science learner attributes to ensure that we were building on our capabilities and understandings around the nature of science. There is always a loud learning buzz and a hive of activity in Room 18 when we are doing science. (we also love bee metaphors after learning SO much about bees in our last reading inquiry)
We decided that the following needed to be our focus for this lesson:
Observation I can....
- ask a question starting with - how? why?
- select appropriate sense (five senses) to make observations
- draw and write to record my scientific observation
- record and report honestly about observations
